Spring is a busy time!

April 6th (Wautoma)  Blue Ribbon Kids' Day  This annual event is a great time for kids and families!  The Waushara County Libraries will be downstairs and there will be games of skill - The Hunger Games Apple Shoot and Angry Birds.  Join us from 8:30 AM to 12:30 pm at the Parkside School on 16th Avenue in Wautoma.

Saturday, April 13 (Wild Rose Community Center) The Fever River Puppeteers performing "River Critters."    Join us in the Wild Rose Community Center for this funny story about river animal friends.  Hosted by the Patterson Memorial Library in conjunction with the Wisconsin Puppet Guild, this puppet show will delight all ages!  Doors open at 10 am, the show will begin promptly at 10:30am!

Tuesday, April 23rd (Patterson Memorial Library)  Friends of the Patterson Memorial Library meeting.  Please join us at 7 pm for a meeting of the Friends of the Patterson.  We'll discuss the group's present and upcoming activities and elect officers.  Anyone interested in joining, or anyone who wishes to attend is welcome.  There will be refreshments served.  Come and support your library!

And Speaking of The Friends' Upcoming Events -

Mark your calendar in May for these two dates:  May 11 (at the Patterson) The Annual Friends of the Library Plant, Book and Bake Sale from 9am to 1pm! Come to the Patterson  and pick up your hanging plant or potted plants just in time for Mother's Day!  Proceeds from the sale are used for the Summer Library Program.  Local gardeners are urged to bring any spring cuttings or divisions to donate to the sale as well.

Last but definitely not least - What's It Worth? An antique appraisal event, will be held on Saturday, May 25 from 12:30pm to 4:30pm at the Wild Rose Elementary School Cafeteria.  Nationally recognized Iola native Mark Moran, who has been on Antiques Road show, is the appraiser. 

Each item to be appraised is $15.00 (a set counts as one), please sign up at the Patterson Memorial Library or call (920) 622-3835 to register or for more information.  There are some excluded items - be sure to check with the library!

This is a fundraising event to support the Patterson Memorial Library After School Program, a program serving the youth of the village who have nowhere to go after school.  The program offers homework help, a healthy snack, and a supervised indoor area for these children.
