Your Community Needs YOU!

Since moving here just over a year ago now, I have learned that Wild Rose and the surrounding areas are inhabited by some of the nicest, giving and caring people I have ever met!  It is to you, the community that I address this plea.

Wild Rose Days is a completely re-vamped event this year.  I'm sure by now most of you know this, and probably a lot have already been asked to donate something, whether goods, services, money or time to keep this event from  disappearing forever.  I appeal to your sense of civic pride, of community and of God and country:  please volunteer to help us have a fantastic event!

Started in 1961 as a way for Wild Rose to show it's civic pride and to goive families a fun-filled event at an affordable price, Wild Rose Days had fallen a little behind that goal over the years, as the rides became expensive and families just couldn't afford to come!

Well we are changing all of that!  The Wild Rose Days Planning Committee has responded to the call by the Lion's Cub to rejuvenate our areas' premier event and we have been working pretty hard since last Fall to make this year's event blossom like it's namesake, the Wild Rose!

This year's events include: the Enchanted Grove Stage featuring the storytelling of Kristia Wildflower, the magic of Ryan Radke, and Puppetry by Miss Valerie.  Next to the stage in the enchanted grove will be Friendly Facepainting,  Creative Zone art experience and the Toddler Treasure Dig. We'll have bouncy houses for all ages, old-fashioned carnival games of skill and the volleyball coutrt will be open for pick up games.

Food?  Of Course!  Delicious Chicken Dinners, Brats, Dogs and Hamburgers, pop, water and energy drinks.  All priced so a family of four could have a great day without taking out a loan from Al at the bank!

But - we need more volunteers to help with some things like parking, set-up, and clean-up.

Please come to the volunteer meeting Monday night from 4:30 - 6:30 at Roberts Park, just stop in and sign-up not a formal meeting, just there to provide information and encourage participation.

Let's bond together and make the Wild Rose Area stronger and better!
