DESPITE the Snowfall Prognosticator's dismal prediction that there are still 9 snowfalls - the signs of Spring are here! Robins, Tulips, Crocus, Johnny-Jump-Ups, and of course, children playing outside! It's time, as you drive, to slow down in the village and look for small children who may not be looking for you! PLEASE BE CAREFUL!
It's also time for a new reading game! Drop by and pick up a Spring Fling Bingo Card! Each card you fill out gets you that much closer to winning a gift card from the Friends group!
Our Summer Line-up of performers is also finished! This year's Summer Reading Program will feature a return of Thursday afternoon performers (providing there is not another outbreak!), We'll also have a reading challenge so your kiddos won't have to worry about the summer slide - the loss of important information over the course of summer vacation! Shows are all provided with funding from our awesome Frinds of the Patterson Memorial Library group!
Shows will either be at the Wild Rose Community Center, attached to the library, or at ROberts Park, so we have room to spread out! Performers are:
June 17, 2pm Magician Rick Allen - he will levitate someone!
June 24, 2pm Nature's Niche - Exotic animals
July 1, 2 pm Hillbilly Silly Science Show
July 8, 2pm Traveling Lantern Shows - The Rainbow Lizard
July 15, Colossal Fossil - Real dinosaur fossil fun!
July 24 at Wild Rose Days - Pamela Corcoran and her Puppets! 2 shows - 1pm and 3pm
and hopefully, we can have our annual End of Summer Reading Program Picnic on July 30!
We have just expanded the library hours - you can now come into the library from 10:30am to 5:30 pm! Holds are still available from 10am to 6pm.
