Summer Reading Has begun!

School's out and the Summer Reading Program has begun at the library!  We also have EdVest forms with a chance for you to win money for your child's future education, courtesy of the Lords of Lambeau!   As for reading, we don't ask for much, come to a program, read some books, do a craft - win a small prize each week and be entered for the grand prize drawing at the end of summer picnic!

We're also doing some Makerspaces - we'll have some techie ones, plus some good old fashioned ones like learning to sew or quilt - if I can find the volunteer teachers!

26th Annual Plant, Book and Bake Sale this Saturday!

This Saturday, May 10th is our 26th Annual Plant, Book and Bake Sale, hosted by the Friends of the Patterson Memorial Library and supported by the Wild Rose Women's Club and members of the community!  We'll open the doors at 9AM and close up at 1 PM.  We have the same big and beautiful plants from Heidi A. Heath Farms in Coloma - all in huge 12" hanging baskets and containers.  We'll also have perennials donated by local gardeners for sale, delicious home-baked treats and lots and lots of books, VHS videos and DVDs - all priced to move!

SPRING!!!!! Free Vegetable seeds and upcoming news!

Well, it seems Spring has decided to spring!

There are new things going on at the library this Spring, and I hope you'll find them useful and rewarding!

First, we have started a Seed Library.  We have 12 varieties of vegetables to choose from, and although the seed packets are portioned for a square foot garden, if you are row planting or using Straw Bales, you may get more seeds.  Seeds are free - what we hope is that at the end of the growing season, you save some of your veggies for seed.  Then you bring in that seed, and we pass it out next spring and so on!
